The Department of Dental Laboratory Technology at Masan University was established in March 2001 and is located in Uiryong, Kyongnam, on the southern tip of the Republic of Korea in Masan City approximately 40 km west of the city of Pusan. Successful completion of the Dental Laboratory Technology program at Masan University leads to an Associates Degree in Science.

Today’s general population will retain their teeth longer because they are more knowledgeable about the importance of regular dental care. Appearance also plays an important role in today’s population. Therefore, aesthetic dentistry is becoming a major factor in which the dental laboratory technician will play an integral role. Consequently individuals suited to pursue dental laboratory technology as a career should have good hand-eye coordination, a sense of detail and precision, and artistic ability.

The curriculum in Dental Laboratory Technology at Masan University is three years in duration. The program requires completion of a minimum of 120 semester hours for graduation.
